Q: How editable are the tours?

Unfortunately, it is not possible with current technology. However, we are able to blur out any features that you wish to disguise. With the new software, we can also make changes to the overlay. So you can add your company branding to the tour or have customizable data tags.

Because of the high-definition captures of the tour, it is important that the property looks its very best prior to our arrival. Using a 360° camera, we capture a number of scan positions in each room of your property with the best angles to display your space.

Q: How do virtual tours work?

Q: What data do I get about my property's virtual tour performance?

With every tour, we can give you a break down of how many impressions, visitors, and unique visitors you get from your 3D virtual tour. An impression is when the page that contains your tour loads successfully. A visit is when the tour has loaded successfully on your page and the used clicks the play button to begin exploring.

Q: How long are Matterport Scans active and available for me to access?

Each Matterport Virtual Tour, aka "Space", are kept active for 6 months from the day of the scan. After 6 months, the Space is automatically archived in our Matterport account. This does not mean they will be deleted. You can reactivate the Space for another 6 months for a fee of $75.

Q: How long does the scan and processing last?

The length of time for scanning your property depends on the complexity and property size. Scanning usually takes an 30 minutes for every 1,000 square feet and the final delivery is within 24 hours of the initial scan.

Q: Can I place tags to label the rooms?

The tour is highly customizable through labels or tags that can be applied to spaces of objects within the tour.
